Developed in partnership with FA Learning, the education arm of The Football Association (The FA), the 1st4sport Level 2 Award in the Treatment and Management of Injury in Sport (QCF) provides learners with an opportunity to study and be assessed on both the practical and theoretical aspects of the provision of therapy within any appropriate sport/fitness-related environment. The knowledge gained will enable learners to develop an understanding of anatomy and physiology, recognition of injury, basic treatment and management of injury, and injury prevention. Learners will also learn to apply their skills using relevant codes of ethics to underpin the way they operate as a therapist.
Prior to certification, learners are required to have evidence of having successfully obtained a current recognised: - emergency aid certificate, first aid award or equivalent - child protection certificate/award or equivalent.
Structure The qualification is divided into the following units: 1. Recognise and Respond to Injury and Illness in Sport 2. Recognise Injury in Sport 3. Management of Injury in Sport
FORMAT: Monday—Friday (Full week) followed by internal practical and written assessment. Minimum Age: 16 Learners must be able to communicate effectively in English (this includes listening, speaking, reading and writing).

FEES: £350 per participant
