Research & Development
Denbigh School Teaching Alliance is currently engaged in Research and Development work around the theme, “What makes Great Pedagogy?” This is a collaborative project working cross-phase, involving two secondary schools and one primary school.
The aim of the project is for teachers to jointly develop practice to improve teaching and learning, then to generate and evaluate evidence of the impact of new teaching strategies. The over-arching research question is, “How can we increase student engagement in their learning?” Within this broader question, participating schools have created sub-research questions relevant to their individual needs and contexts.
The project is overseen by the National College and facilitated by the Institute of Education. We are looking forward to disseminating and sharing our joint findings in April 2014.
