General uniform requirements:
All articles of clothing should be clearly marked with the owner's name.
Jewellery must not be worn in school. It is dangerous in P.E. and some practical lessons. The only exception is a small pair of studs {i.e. one in each ear. There must be no other visible piercings - this includes tongue piercings and any type of stretchers.
* Extremes of hair colour and hairstyle or patterns are not allowed.
* Coloured shirts worn underneath the school shirt are also not allowed.
* If a belt is worn it should be in accordance with school uniform colours.
* Hijab head scarves should be in accordance with school uniform colours.
* Hair items that are worn in order to keep long hair off the face should be plain, discreet and in accordance with school colours.
* Outdoor Jackets must be plain and dark in colour - sweatshirts/hoodies are not allowed.
* Leggings/Footless tights are not allowed. Cropped trousers are not allowed.
* Nail varnish must not be worn in School.
The school uniform requirements have been drawn up to achieve a good standard of dress without the burden of a high cash outlay. Students are expected to wear the prescribed school dress within School and on journeys to & from school. Students are part of a learning community at Denbigh and wearing the uniform is vital to feeling a sense of belonging in our community. A full list of uniform requirements is set out below:
Our Uniform

Plain knee-length black skirt or full length black tailored trousers (not denim, cord, canvas or leather). Jean-style trousers are not allowed. (Skirts made from clingy fabric or trousers that are skin-tight are not allowed).
* Regulation school shirt: light blue (saxe) with a collar. ("Fashion" alternatives to the regulation shirt are not allowed).
* A school tie (The tie includes the school crest).
* Black v-neck jumper with Denbigh crest.
* White/dark socks or dark/neutral coloured tights (plain).
* Shoes must be of a sensible design in black. Canvas shoes are not allowed. Shoes must be plain in colour without coloured trim or stitching.
* Boots may only be worn in extreme weather conditions - they must be plain black in colour.
P.E./Games kit all clearly marked:
Physical Education Kit (Girls)
1 venus (fitted) polo shirt
1 pair royal blue shorts
1 pair royal blue football socks
1 pair white trainers (not canvas)
1 pair white ankle socks
1 fleece with logo
1 pair of shin-pads
Hairbands
Gum-shield is recommended
Optional Kit
Tracksuit bottoms
Jewellery: For Health & Safety reasons, for themselves & those around them, all forms of jewellery must be removed.
