Sway Humphries
Sway Humphries is a Leader of Computing at Caroline Haslett Primary School. She has been ICT/Computing Leader since her NQT year and during this time has written a new curriculum and conducted research into the impact of 1:1 iPads in the primary classroom.
Excited about the opportunities and experiences which technology can offer, Sway has spent the last 5 years focussing this on education. She was invited as a ‘lead learner’ to attend the first ever Raspberry Picademy to become a Raspberry Pi Certified Teacher and loves the opportunities these cheap computers offer. Over the years, Sway has built up a successful blog (www.swaygrantham.co.uk) which is full of learning ideas and pedagogy for Computer, ICT and many other curriculum areas. Most recently Sway has been ask to write several book chapters, some lesson examples in ‘‘Extending Computing to Meet Individual Needs in KS2’ in Lessons in Teaching Computing in Primary Schools and two chapters in a ‘Teaching with Tablets’ book to be released at the end of the year.
