


Jerome Waters
Denbigh School
Jerome is an Assistant Headteacher at Denbigh School – he is the Director of KS5 and leads 4 Heads of Year and a wide range of academic mentors. He has a range of experience with all matters relating to sixth form including teaching and learning, pastoral care, safeguarding, data, intervention, recruitment and curriculum development.
Jerome has also worked with middle leaders for many years on improving student performance and raising standards across the school. As part of his Senior Leadership Team role Jerome has line lead a range of faculties including Humanities, Design and Technology and Art.
Jerome was the Faculty Head of Humanities for 10 years; during his tenure he led a large and highly successful team that delivered excellent exam performance across a several subject areas. Jerome ensured that there was a clear direction for colleagues that focussed on maximising student achievement.
Jerome has responsibility for key areas of the School Improvement Plan and leads these across the school. He has developed a range of highly effective middle leaders and also focussed on developing outstanding teachers. Jerome has modelled outstanding lessons to middle leaders and has completed whole school training on a variety of areas including curriculum development and teaching and learning. Jerome has also been the History Lead Mentor for the Grand Union Training Partnership and has extensive experience of leading the development of colleagues at different stages of their professional careers.
