Headteacher - Shenley Brook End School

Headteacher of Shenley Brook End School, Ofsted rated outstanding in all main school categories. He has worked with other schools in developing strategies to improve standards in teaching, learning and assessment outcomes. He has also assisted in Headteacher recruitment.
Glen has developed a curriculum provision for students to enhance their outcomes and motivate their positive involvement in school through offering courses in which they can succeed. He has also developed a positive culture of improving learning through the use of creative teaching supported by the rigour of monitoring standards.
Creativity has become the heart of his school’s approach and initial fears were overcome to result in innovative approaches to:
·Teaching and learning – encouraging questioning, reflection and challenge
· Curriculum design – developing a common language of learning
· Use of data – creating imaginative cultural change
· Growing a ‘school of leaders’ – encouraging leadership at all levels
· School improvement planning – embracing creativity
