Denbigh students showcase exceptional badminton skills at National Finals

The familiar captivating atmosphere of the Center Parcs National Schools Badminton Championships was experienced once again by Denbigh students. The U16 boys Badminton team comprising Sean Chal (Year 11), James Cheshire (Year 10), Max Goldman (Year 10) and Callum Hemming (Year 11) showcased outstanding skills at the National Finals. This was held at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest where the Denbigh team was surrounded by superb talent from schools that had travelled to the event from places up and down the country. The Denbigh team played extremely well gaining the following winning results; 3-2 versus Thurston Community College (Bury St Edmunds), 5-0 against Cramlington Learning Village (Northumberland) and 4-1 with Failsworth School (Manchester). They finished as runners-up after losing 3-2 on the last point of their last game against Trentham High School (Stoke on Trent).
